Description

Lead the requirements-to-prototype pipeline to build accessible, enterprise-grade portal experiences. Define and enforce UI/UX standards and design system governance, architect and develop React/TypeScript components and shared UI libraries, and ensure quality through code reviews and usability testing. Coordinate with backend/API teams to deliver responsive experiences that comply with WCAG 2.1 AA.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to create wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity designs

• Establish UI/UX standards, interaction patterns, and design system governance across portal applications

• Architect and develop key React/TypeScript front-end components and shared UI libraries

• Review pull requests and provide feedback on design fidelity and code quality

• Coordinate with backend/API teams to ensure feasibility and optimize within service/data constraints

• Drive accessibility compliance (WCAG 2.1 AA) and responsive design

• Run usability testing/validation sessions and iterate based on user feedback and analytics

• Mentor mid-level UI/UX developers in design thinking and React best practices

Requirements

• Expert-level proficiency in Figma, including component libraries and design systems

• Strong hands-on experience with React.js and TypeScript, including component architecture, state management, and hooks

• Proven ability to translate designs into responsive, accessible UI

• Familiarity with containerized environments (Docker/Kubernetes/OpenShift) and modern CI/CD pipelines

• Excellent stakeholder management; comfortable defending design decisions to business and engineering teams

• Experience reviewing code and providing technical feedback in a team setting

• Fluent English

• Eligibility to work in Europe (existing legal right to work in the European Union)
