Description

You will define the product vision and strategy for Azure Change Management, driving consistent and reliable configuration management across services and environments. You will build the platform that simplifies deployment and maintenance while improving safety through validation, monitoring, drift detection, rollback, and remediation—leveraging AI/agentic capabilities to reduce risk and automate actions. The role requires strong product thinking, technical depth, and influence across engineering, operations, security, reliability, and compliance teams.

Responsibilities

  • Define product vision and strategy for Change Management across Azure

  • Drive configuration standardization (patterns, schemas, policies, and developer/operator experiences)

  • Build the next generation of Azure Change Management platform with engineering, architecture, security, and reliability teams

  • Address complex problems across the deployment & maintenance lifecycle (authoring, validation, deployment, monitoring, drift detection, rollback, remediation)

  • Create platform strategy for easy onboarding of Azure services with consistent validation, policy enforcement, health assessment, and safe change execution

  • Leverage AI and agentic experiences to identify risks, recommend changes, automate remediation, and improve production change safety

  • Drive adoption across Azure by establishing standards and accelerating onboarding

  • Define and manage product metrics for consistency, reliability, change safety, operational efficiency, and customer experience

  • Lead cross-functional execution and translate ambiguous problems into roadmaps and measurable outcomes

  • Communicate strategy, tradeoffs, and impact with senior leadership and influence across organizational boundaries

Benefits

  • Compensation and benefits eligibility; base pay range varies by location (US: USD $119,800–$234,700; SF Bay Area/NYC metro: USD $160,200–$261,000)

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree AND 5+ years experience in data analysis, product/service/program management, or software development (or equivalent experience)

  • Ability to pass required Microsoft Cloud Background Check and other security screening requirements upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree AND 12+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development (or equivalent)

  • 2+ years taking features to market

  • 4+ years improving product metrics and growing/retaining customers

  • 4+ years disrupting a market for a product/feature

  • 6+ years working on developer platforms, orchestration platforms, and large-scale distributed systems

  • 8+ years in cross-functional/cross-team projects

  • 8+ years working with developer languages used to manage resources within cloud environments
