Description

Lead the Domain/Network & Database management reference section and ensure secure, high-performing operation of domain services, networks, and databases. You will manage and coordinate personnel and work distribution, represent the section externally, and drive projects and internal working groups. Continuously develop IT security concepts for existing and new services and maintain the IT emergency plan.

Responsibilities

  • General leadership tasks according to the management guidelines of the State Building Management of Lower Saxony
  • Personnel leadership, including employee and appraisal interviews, performance reviews, professional development support, absence coordination, and contribution to personnel measures
  • Steer work distribution to ensure timely, factual completion of tasks in the reference section
  • Set work goals and coordinate results with due consideration of internal reference-section matters
  • Exercise line management (service supervision) over all employees and technical supervision over all tasks of the reference section
  • Represent the reference section externally
  • Lead and participate in internal projects and working groups
  • Ensure efficient and secure operations for the domain, network, and databases used by the State Building Management of Lower Saxony
  • Maintain and further develop IT security concepts for existing and new domain, network, and database services, including the IT emergency concept

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or Applied Informatics
  • For civil servants: eligibility for career group 2 with access to entry level 2, general administration track
  • For salaried employees: academic university degree (Diploma or Master) in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or Applied Informatics
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in a role requiring the degree
  • At least 2 years of leadership experience with direct responsibility for personnel
  • At least 3 years of experience in an IuK/IT operations environment
  • Secure German language skills (C1)
