Description

Lead and scale the engineering organization across web, mobile, and ERP. Set company-wide standards for software delivery, improve engineering productivity with metrics, and implement an AI-first engineering lifecycle—from design and code review to testing and incident management.

Responsibilities

• Lead an engineering organization (~150 people) spanning Web, Mobile, and ERP development; develop managers and technical leaders.
• Define an operating model covering structure, responsibilities, decision rights, and leadership expectations.
• Raise the technical bar with shared SDLC standards, CI/CD, testing, observability, security, release management, and architectural guardrails.
• Own engineering productivity by introducing metrics (lead time, throughput, DORA, developer experience), removing bottlenecks, and increasing delivery predictability.
• Design and implement an AI SDLC with security, data, and compliance guardrails; measure real impact.
• Manage technical debt systematically so its reduction is reflected in team priorities and capacity.
• Align Engineering with Product, PMO, and Architecture; communicate technology decisions, risks, and investment needs clearly to leadership.

Requirements

• Led a large software engineering organization including managers and leaders across multiple teams.
• Strong technical credibility to lead architecture discussions, scaling approaches, and trade-offs.
• Track record of driving change to improve productivity, quality, and delivery predictability in a complex environment.
• Ability to connect technology with business priorities, capacity, and economic impact.
• Experience with AI-assisted development; engineering transformation experience is a major advantage.
• Confident, clear leadership in ambiguous contexts; develops strong leaders and drives team autonomy.
• Fluent Czech and English communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
