Description

Build and evolve backend services for an e-commerce client using Kotlin and Java. Design microservice-based solutions, create reliable backend components and APIs, and improve existing systems for performance, scalability, and maintainability. Collaborate with Product, Data, and UX to refine requirements and technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services using Kotlin and Java

• Build and evolve applications based on Spring Boot

• Design, implement, and enhance microservice-based solutions

• Create and maintain high-quality APIs and backend components

• Write automated tests and uphold code quality standards

• Design architecture for new functionalities and services

• Improve existing systems (performance, scalability, maintainability)

• Collaborate with Product Managers, Data Analysts, and UX Designers

• Apply engineering best practices and development standards

• Use AI-powered development tools to increase productivity and code quality

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Java

• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot

• Proven background delivering microservices and backend APIs

• Experience creating, testing, and maintaining backend services

• Ability to design technical solutions and take ownership of implementation decisions

• Understanding of clean code and software engineering best practices

• Effective collaboration with cross-functional teams in an agile environment

• Practical use of AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or similar

• Strong communication skills

• English B2+ and fluent Polish
