Description

You will develop and maintain backend services in Java and/or Kotlin using Spring Boot. The work includes designing and building REST APIs with event-driven integrations, using AWS services and relational databases, and creating infrastructure with Terraform. You own features end-to-end—from implementation and tests to production deployment—while participating in code reviews and resolving production issues.

Responsibilities

• Develop backend services in Java and/or Kotlin with Spring Boot

• Design and implement REST APIs and event-driven integrations

• Work with AWS services (RDS, S3, and an internal data platform)

• Create and maintain infrastructure with Terraform

• Build and work with relational databases using SQL

• Implement features independently from development and testing to production rollout

• Write clean, testable, maintainable code

• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions

• Analyze production problems and help debug issues

• Collaborate with developers and Product Managers

Requirements

• 5+ years of commercial backend programming with Java and/or Kotlin

• Very good knowledge of Spring Boot

• Practical AWS experience

• Knowledge of REST API and event-driven integration patterns

• Experience with microservices architecture

• Solid SQL and relational database knowledge

• Practical Terraform knowledge

• Experience with Docker, Git, and modern DevOps practices

• Messaging experience (Kafka or RabbitMQ)

• Experience with automated tests, debugging, and production troubleshooting

• Ability to work independently on well-defined tasks and ramp up quickly

• English at least B2

• If Kotlin commercial experience is missing: ready to start quickly with Kotlin
