Description

Design, develop, and execute automated test solutions for ETL and data integration processes on an Azure-based data platform. Validate data ingestion, transformation, and loading across multiple data sources, and build scalable automation frameworks with clear documentation. Execute functional and non-functional tests for Azure Databricks and Azure Data Factory pipelines using Python and SQL for validation, comparison, reporting, and defect investigation.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and run automated tests for ETL and data integration

• Validate data ingestion, transformation, and loading across multiple sources

• Build and maintain test automation frameworks for data platforms

• Create and execute test cases for Azure Databricks and Azure Data Factory pipelines

• Write complex SQL queries for data analysis, validation, and defect investigation

• Use Python to automate data testing, validation, comparison, and reporting

• Perform source-to-target data validation to ensure data integrity

• Support CI/CD and automation initiatives for data platform testing

• Conduct functional and non-functional testing for Azure-based data solutions

• Maintain test strategies, execution reports, and comprehensive test documentation

Requirements

• EU citizenship and residence in Poland

• Proven experience as a Data Test Automation Engineer / Data QA Engineer or similar

• Hands-on ETL testing and data validation experience

• Hands-on functional and non-functional testing experience in Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory (ADF), SQL, and Python

• Experience designing and maintaining automated testing frameworks

• Version control knowledge (Git)

• Experience supporting automated testing in CI/CD environments

• Ability to create clear and comprehensive test documentation

• Experience with Xray test management (ideally parameterized and scalable)

• Knowledge of synthetic test data creation and data masking techniques

• Very good English skills
