Description

You will design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data lakehouse solutions on Azure and Databricks. The work includes ingesting data from multiple sources, performing transformations and data quality checks, and supporting business-critical analytics and regulatory requirements. You’ll also monitor production environments, investigate incidents, and optimize performance while ensuring governance, security, and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Build and optimize modern data platforms on Azure and Databricks

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines

• Implement data lakehouse solutions for analytics, reporting, and regulatory needs

• Ingest data from databases, APIs, files, and messaging/event streams

• Perform transformation, validation, and end-to-end data quality checks

• Collaborate with Business Analysts and stakeholders to translate requirements into data solutions

• Support production operations, incident analysis, and performance optimization

• Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and regulatory standards

Requirements

• 4+ years of data engineering experience

• 2+ years hands-on Databricks and Delta Lake experience in production

• 2+ years Azure Data Factory (ADF) pipeline development/maintenance

• Very strong Python, Spark SQL, and PySpark skills

• Experience with Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 (ADLS Gen2)

• Knowledge of medallion architecture and dimensional models

• REST API integration and batch + streaming ingestion experience

• GitHub Copilot and CI/CD pipelines experience; Azure DevOps (or similar)

• Strong understanding of data quality, performance tuning, and scalability

• Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT, and modern data architecture principles

• Very good English skills
