Description

You will design and implement Java microservices and APIs, including integrations with the EIS platform and Client Group systems. You will help shape system architecture and make technical decisions aligned with program assumptions, covering quality, performance, security, and scalability. You will also participate in discovery/inception workshops, run code reviews, mentor developers, and support CI/CD, observability, and DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement microservice-based solutions in Java

• Build and develop APIs and integration solutions communicating with EIS and Client Group systems

• Co-create system architecture and make technical decisions

• Ensure delivery of high quality, performance, security, and scalability

• Apply architectural patterns, Event-Driven Architecture, and Domain-Driven Design (DDD)

• Analyze, design, and estimate business and technical requirements

• Support Product Owners, analysts, and architects with feasibility assessments and technical risk identification

• Participate in Discovery and Inception workshops (decompose epics into features, prepare backlog)

• Lead code reviews and mentor engineers; raise engineering standards

• Support technical problem solving and high software delivery standards

• Collaborate with project, architecture, integration teams, and external vendors

• Co-define and implement CI/CD processes, observability, and DevOps practices

• Support development, integration, and test environments (including Docker and Kubernetes-based solutions)

• Identify, analyze, and escalate technical risks affecting program execution

• Support adoption of modern AI/Agentic AI tools for software development and developer task automation

Requirements

• Active coding for ~75% of working time; very strong Java knowledge backed by real production experience

• At least 5+ years of experience designing and building web systems

• Experience in microservice and distributed system architecture

• Very strong knowledge of architectural/integration patterns and API/integration design

• Practical knowledge of relational databases (SQL, query optimization)

• Practical knowledge of Event-Driven Architecture

• Practical end-to-end observability knowledge

• Understanding of application security principles

• Experience with code review, mentoring, and leading a technical team

• Experience with cross-team collaboration

• Experience co-defining technology decisions and assessing technical risks

• Containerization and orchestration knowledge (Docker, Kubernetes)

• English language skills (minimum B2)
