Description

Work on the further development, quality assurance, and modernization of existing Java applications with a strong testing and quality focus. The role combines development (including unit/developer tests and technical documentation) with QA execution and CI support in complex application landscapes.

Responsibilities

• Administer, configure, and optimize Oracle databases (performance tuning; ideally Oracle 19 or higher)

• Implement Java solutions and developer tests (unit tests) and maintain technical documentation

• Maintain and further develop complex Java bespoke software based on technical specifications and architecture guidelines

• Design tests and specify test requirements; create test cases, test scenarios, and test data

• Run functional, system, and integration tests

• Automate tests using automated testing frameworks (e.g., LoadRunner)

• Document and analyze test results

• Support Continuous Integration using tools such as Jenkins, Maven, Checkstyle, FindBugs, Git, and JUnit

• Provide 3rd-level support: incident intake, documentation and feedback, troubleshooting, and sustainable fixes/workarounds

Requirements

• Solid Java programming knowledge

• Good knowledge of JEE technologies and frameworks (e.g., Spring, Hibernate, EJB, JBoss/WildFly) and Eclipse

• Experience with Oracle databases, including administration, configuration, and performance optimization (Oracle 19+ preferred)

• Knowledge of test automation, test methodology, and test design

• QA experience with functional, system, and integration tests

• Experience with CI/CD processes (Jenkins, Maven, Git)

• Ability to produce technical documentation and analyze test results

• Willingness to work onsite in Munich 5 days per week (with 1 day remote per week by agreement)
