Description

Design, create, and maintain automated tests for backend APIs using Java, and build end-to-end automated tests for frontends using Playwright and TypeScript. Perform functional and regression testing for newly developed and modernized features, ensuring strong coverage by validating edge cases and questioning assumptions. Identify, reproduce, analyze, and precisely document software bugs while collaborating closely with developers, analysts, Product Owners, and other stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain automated backend API tests in Java
• Create and maintain end-to-end automated frontend tests using Playwright and TypeScript
• Run functional and regression tests for newly implemented and modernized application features
• Identify, reproduce, analyze, and document software defects
• Validate edge cases and challenge assumptions for comprehensive test coverage
• Work closely with developers, analysts, Product Owners, and other project stakeholders
• Participate in continuous improvement of QA processes and test automation practices
• Maintain test documentation and manage testing activities in JIRA and qTest
• Use version control and CI/CD tools such as Git, Bitbucket, Bamboo, and Jenkins

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of software testing/QA experience, including practical automation experience
• Very good knowledge of Java, especially for API testing
• Practical experience with Playwright and TypeScript for end-to-end frontend automation
• Good understanding of frontend testing principles and the test pyramid
• Experience with JIRA and qTest (or similar test management tools)
• Knowledge of Git (or another version control system)
• Knowledge of Bitbucket, Bamboo, Jenkins (or similar CI/CD tools)
• Strong analytical skills and a structured approach to problem-solving
• Ability to identify edge cases and potential quality risks
• Great attention to detail and strong quality mindset
• Ability to clearly reproduce, analyze, and document bugs
• Proactive and responsible attitude for assigned tasks
• Very good communication skills and ability to collaborate with technical and business stakeholders
• Fluent English (spoken and written)
