• Role: Senior Backend Developer for a clinical product used in oncology workflows

Description

Develop and maintain the backend of a commercial clinical reporting application used by hospitals and laboratories to generate reports that help oncologists select personalized cancer treatments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the application backend in Java and Spring as part of a mature, commercial clinical product
• Design, implement, and optimize services and APIs for interpreting NGS sequencing data and generating clinical reports
• Work with PostgreSQL: design schemas, write and optimize queries, and ensure data integrity and performance
• Develop and maintain applications in AWS, using Docker for containerization
• Work with a legacy codebase: analyze, refactor, and safely introduce changes
• Collaborate in an Agile/Scrum team (planning, reviews, daily stand-ups) and manage code via Git/GitHub
• Ensure solution quality, reliability, and security in line with requirements for medical-sector software
