Description

Lead and grow an engineering team building and operating the Fabric Platform, delivering a unified experience, governance, and architecture for customers. Set technical direction and delivery, applying high-scale design principles and driving reliability across a distributed, multi-region cloud service. Diagnose and drive resolution of complex problems while partnering across Azure Data to deliver a unified data platform.

Responsibilities

• Manage, coach, and support a team of 12+ individual contributors

• Develop engineers into independent senior and principal contributors

• Set priorities and technical direction to scale the service

• Apply high-scale design principles across every tier of the platform

• Guide the team to operate the platform reliably across multiple regions

• Diagnose and drive resolution of issues in a complex distributed service

• Align execution with the broader Azure Data and Microsoft Fabric mission

• Partner across Azure Data for unified governance and architecture

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field

• 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding (C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, Python or equivalent)

• Ability to meet security screening requirements, including passing the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years

Benefits

• Base pay range (U.S.): USD $142,800–$274,800 per year

• Additional pay ranges for San Francisco Bay area and New York City metro locations

• Eligibility for benefits and other compensation (details provided via Microsoft careers page)
