Description

Lead the long-term technical strategy and architecture for Streaming Hub applications, integrating systems and improving scalability, security, and reliability. Drive modernization of development and delivery with CI/CD, feature-controlled deployments, automated testing, observability, and operational readiness. Provide oversight for API architecture, multi-cloud infrastructure strategy, cross-team initiatives, and software releases—using metrics and incident learnings to drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a senior technical leader across Streaming Hub Applications teams, setting technical direction across multiple engineering teams
• Define and execute long-term technical strategy with Engineering, Product, and Enterprise Architecture
• Lead cross-cutting architectural initiatives and establish engineering standards
• Drive modernization of software development and delivery practices (CI/CD, automated testing, observability, operational readiness)
• Establish consistent API architecture, design patterns, and engineering standards for an API-first strategy
• Provide technical leadership for cloud and infrastructure strategy (multi-cloud, resiliency, disaster recovery, cost optimization)
• Lead strategic refactoring and modernization to reduce technical debt and operational complexity
• Lead adoption of AI-assisted software engineering practices and reusable AI agent patterns
• Perform design reviews and provide technical oversight for large, complex, cross-team initiatives
• Raise the engineering bar through operational readiness reviews and incident learning
• Mentor senior engineers and develop a bench of technical leaders
• Partner to improve developer productivity, onboarding, and engineering consistency
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance to ensure technical specifications and customer expectations are met
• Integrate new applications with existing systems with thorough system requirement analysis
• Create and maintain comprehensive development documentation and knowledge sharing
• Define and monitor key performance metrics to guide continuous improvement
• Oversee end-to-end software release process (development, testing, deployment) within budget and schedule

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (preferred) and/or equivalent coursework and experience
• 15+ years of relevant work experience
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical strategy, architecture, and cross-team engineering standards
• Experience with CI/CD, automated testing, observability, and operational readiness
• Experience designing and governing API-first architectures
• Experience with cloud and infrastructure strategy, including multi-cloud resiliency and disaster recovery
• Experience driving modernization and reducing technical debt
• Experience mentoring senior engineers and improving developer productivity and engineering velocity
• Ability to work nights and weekends (variable schedule as needed)

Benefits

• Base pay range: $206,100.54–$309,150.81 (dependent on experience)
