Description

Prepare and connect HDPE ducts and microtubes, blow microtubes, and then insert optical fiber using a compressor and blowing equipment. Verify route passability and splice quality, handle penetrations and coordination with property owners and excavation crews, and install/commission customer end devices so internet service works reliably. The role emphasizes careful workmanship, outdoor work, and problem solving in the field.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and connect HDPE conduits and microtubes according to project documentation

• Blow microtubes and blow in optical fibers using a compressor and blowing technique

• Check route passability and connection quality

• Perform penetrations (e.g., drilling) in objects and coordinate with property owners

• Install and commission customer end devices

• Collaborate with excavation crews and resolve construction-time issues

• Continuously capture photo documentation of steps

Requirements

• Driver’s license category B

• Experience driving a van (cart/trailer experience is an advantage)

• Several years of experience in a technical field (electrician, installer, cabling, IT service technician, plumber, etc.)

• Ability to read project documentation

• Basic orientation in networking equipment (end-device setup, functionality checks)

• Basic English knowledge (useful for working with network equipment)

• Manual dexterity, independence, and a responsible approach

• Customer communication skills during installations

• Willingness to travel on multi-day projects
