Description

You will perform laboratory testing and analyses of metallic materials. The work includes strength and hardness measurements, metallography with sample preparation and light microscopy, and chemical composition analysis using XFR/spark spectrometry. You will also support sample cutting and testing workflows, including crane operation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct laboratory tests and material analyses
• Measure strength and hardness (e.g., tensile testing machine, hardness tester)
• Determine internal material structure (metallography, sample preparation, light microscopy)
• Analyze chemical composition using XFR/spark spectrometer
• Cut metal samples using a band saw (including noise category 3 workplace considerations)
• Operate a gantry/column crane

Requirements

• Experience in the field
• Driver’s license group B
• Knowledge of MS Office
• Knowledge of laboratory/quality systems (LIMS, BeOn, Avon)
• Knowledge of group material standards
