Description

You will help build a modern platform for handling insurance claim liquidations from the start, shaping architectural and technology decisions for key components. The role includes implementing microservices with REST APIs, event-driven integrations, and DDD-based architecture. You will also ensure quality, performance, security, scalability, and end-to-end observability while mentoring the team.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement microservices-based solutions in Java
• Create and develop APIs, integrations, and system-to-system communication
• Co-create system architecture and make technical decisions
• Apply architectural patterns, Event-Driven Architecture, and Domain-Driven Design (DDD)
• Ensure quality, performance, security, and scalability
• Participate in business and technical requirement analysis, design, and estimation
• Collaborate with Product Owners, analysts, and architects on feasibility and technical risks
• Take part in Discovery and Inception workshops (decompose Epics into Features, prepare backlog)
• Lead code reviews and provide developer mentoring
• Support the team in solving technical problems and maintaining high engineering standards
• Cooperate with product, architecture, integration teams, and external vendors
• Define and implement CI/CD processes, observability practices, and DevOps workflows
• Prepare and maintain developer/integration/test environments using Docker and Kubernetes
• Identify, analyze, and escalate technical risks
• Support the use of modern AI and Agentic AI in software development and automation

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience designing and building Java web systems
• Active programming experience
• Experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems
• Practical experience with REST API design, system integration, and event-driven architectures
• Knowledge and application of architectural patterns and DDD
• Practical knowledge of relational databases, SQL, and query optimization
• Experience with end-to-end observability and basic application security principles
• Experience working with Docker and Kubernetes
• English: at least B2
