Description

You will participate in the implementation and development of an Enterprise-class system, including configuration, parameterization, extensions, and integration with the existing system ecosystem. The role includes business/technical requirements analysis, backend development in Java/Spring, designing and maintaining integrations via APIs and Apache Kafka, and building unit and integration test suites. You will also collaborate in an international Scrum environment and use AI/agentic AI tools across the delivery lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Implement and develop an Enterprise system (configuration, parameterization, extensions) and integrate with the current platform ecosystem

• Analyze business and technical requirements and implement them using configuration mechanisms, product extensions, and dedicated components

• Design, implement, and maintain integrations with internal and external systems using APIs, Apache Kafka, events, and integration services

• Develop backend solutions using Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and Hibernate

• Assess standard system capabilities and recommend the best approach (configuration, product extension, or dedicated solution)

• Design and implement solutions considering functional, non-functional, performance, security, and maintainability requirements

• Support data migration, environment integration, and preparation for production rollout

• Create and evolve unit and integration tests; participate in system-level testing

• Perform code reviews, configuration reviews, and integration solution reviews

• Use AI and agentic AI tools in analysis, design, implementation, testing, documentation, and maintenance

• Collaborate with an international system vendor on changes, bug fixing, and version planning

• Participate in Scrum events and work with business teams, architects, testers, and integration specialists

• Co-create enterprise deployment/integration standards and best practices

• Daily collaboration in an international project environment

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of Java development experience

• Minimum 5 years with Spring/Spring Boot/Spring Cloud and Hibernate

• Minimum 3 years with Apache Kafka

• Minimum 5 years of SQL

• Practical unit testing experience with JUnit, TestNG, or Spock

• Integration testing experience with Testcontainers and WireMock

• Strong OOP knowledge and familiarity with Functional Programming

• Knowledge of application containerization

• Knowledge of process engines and BPMN notation

• Experience with resilience patterns/mechanisms for distributed systems

• React knowledge and experience creating frontend applications

• Ability to use AI tools in the software development process

• Knowledge of tools/techniques for application diagnostics and performance analysis

• English at least B2 (for international communication)
