Description

Manage the day-to-day technical design of Telecommunications, Security, and Audio Visual (A/V) construction documents. Coordinate schematic design and construction document delivery with a strong focus on technology requirements, perform site condition surveys, and review contract submittals while supporting multiple teams and deadlines. Prefer experience delivering technology systems for mission-critical, datacenter, healthcare, higher education, and science/technology facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and prepare schematic design and construction documents with emphasis on Telecom, Security, and A/V requirements

  • Use design software (preferably Revit and BIM modeling) to build coordinated technology documentation

  • Perform site condition surveys

  • Review contract submittals

  • Support multiple design teams and projects; manage competing deadlines

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams

  • Work on client site as needed and meet site badging requirements (including background check)

Requirements

  • Associate degree or equivalent in an Engineering Technology program, Electrical Engineering, or Telecommunications Engineering

  • 10+ years’ experience in installation/maintenance or design/specification of Technology Systems (Telecom, Security, A/V), preferably for mission-critical, datacenter, healthcare, higher education, and science/technology projects

  • 5 years’ experience can be considered in lieu of degree

  • Fundamental understanding of inside-plan (ISP) and outside-plant (OSP) telecom design

  • Detailed knowledge and experience with design coordination and contract document development

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-office technology systems group

  • Willingness to work on client sites and pass required background checks
