Description

You will help develop and evolve Google Cloud Platform services that best serve customer demand through solution design, team co-creation, and PoC/MVP implementation. In this Agile Release Train (ART) role, you will guide teams to embed security, quality, and cost optimization by design into every Google Cloud solution. You’ll also maintain high-quality cloud design documentation within your domain.

Responsibilities

  • Define technology standards and future-state Google Cloud Platform reference architectures, guiding principles, and solution building blocks
  • Collaborate with Product Owner, Scrum Master, System Architects, and other team members to develop and operate platform services
  • Lead Identity and Access Management (IAM) design and implementation, including service accounts, organizational policies, and modern authentication patterns
  • Drive infrastructure automation and standardized provisioning using Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and reusable modules
  • Support engineers in building and maintaining new platform services with hands-on automation best practices
  • Partner with FinOps stakeholders to embed billing visibility, cost control, and cost optimization into platform services
  • Ensure security, compliance, and quality standards via design reviews, implementation validation, and continuous improvement
  • Mentor engineers, and contribute to cloud best practices, patterns, and documentation
  • Build proofs of concept and proofs of value for new Google Cloud capabilities
  • Maintain high-quality cloud design documentation for the domain

Requirements

  • 5+ years of cloud engineering experience with strong Google Cloud Platform focus
  • Deep Infrastructure as Code expertise, especially Terraform
  • Knowledge of cloud billing models, cost allocation, and enterprise cost optimization strategies
  • Proficiency in Python and Bash for scripting and troubleshooting
  • Experience designing enterprise-level account structures and security models in GCP
  • Familiarity with PaaS and containerized/serverless workloads (GKE, Cloud Run)
  • Experience operating enterprise-scale cloud platforms balancing security, compliance, reliability, and performance
  • Knowledge of cloud delivery models and data integration patterns/architectures
  • Engineering and coding experience in agile environments
  • IT architecture methodology knowledge (e.g., TOGAF) and service management processes (ITIL)
  • Proven ability in road mapping, technical architecture design, solution definition, and project management
  • Experience in large international companies or global service providers
  • Strong leadership, documentation, and customer-facing skills
  • Familiarity with SAFe and Scrum
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • English proficiency at B2 level or higher
