Description

You will architect and manage GCP cloud infrastructure using GKE, Cloud Run, and Terraform. You’ll lead an AWS-to-GCP migration workstream by assessing source workloads, defining target architectures, and driving production cutover. The role also includes CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps and automation scripting with Python/Bash/PowerShell, with DevSecOps security checks integrated into the workflow.

Responsibilities

• Architect, deploy, and maintain GCP cloud resources using Terraform or automation
• Implement and manage data services such as Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, and Filestore
• Configure Cloud Load Balancers (HTTP(S), TCP/UDP, SSL Proxy) for high availability and scalability
• Design cloud networking, IAM, security, and landing-zone components
• Optimize resource allocation, monitoring, and cost efficiency
• Deploy and manage workloads on GKE; use Helm for microservices deployments
• Automate scaling, rolling updates, and zero-downtime deployments
• Move workloads across clouds when needed (AWS EKS to GKE)
• Deploy and manage applications on Cloud Run and Cloud Functions for serverless scalability
• Optimize Cloud Run containerized applications for cost and performance
• Design and manage CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps
• Automate infrastructure deployment with Terraform and scripting (Bash/PowerShell/Python)
• Integrate security and compliance checks into DevSecOps workflows
• Migrate/redesign CI/CD pipelines as workloads move from AWS to GCP
• Assess AWS infrastructure/workloads and define GCP target architectures
• Plan and execute AWS-to-GCP migration, including cutover and rollback planning
• Execute cross-cloud data migration across object storage, warehouses, and managed services
• Automate migration/operations using Python/Bash/PowerShell/Go and platform tooling
• Use AI coding assistants for migration analysis, implementation, troubleshooting, and documentation

Requirements

• 4+ years in cloud engineering with a focus on GCP
• Strong knowledge of GCP services: GKE, Compute Engine, IAM, VPC, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, Cloud Load Balancing
• Hands-on experience with GKE, Docker, GKE networking, and Helm
• Experience with Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipeline automation
• Expertise in Terraform
• Proficiency in Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation
• Knowledge of cloud security principles, IAM, and compliance standards
• Hands-on involvement in at least one real AWS-to-GCP migration, with ability to explain what was migrated and what broke
• Comfortable delivering production-quality code using AI coding assistants (Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Codex, or comparable)
• Upper-intermediate English level
