Description

Build and operate GCP infrastructure for a data mesh architecture with a focus on the AI stack. Standardize and simplify internal consumption of GCP native services (GKE, Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, Cloud Functions) by creating reusable Terraform modules and consistent engineering patterns. Collaborate with data engineers and architects to ensure the GCP platform is scalable, secure, and reliable.

Responsibilities

• Request GCP services and permissions through the established Jira process
• Design, configure, and maintain the GCP environment for the data mesh project
• Partner with multiple teams to define infrastructure requirements and ensure scalability, security, and reliability
• Build CI/CD pipelines and automation using cloud deployment models with GitHub Actions
• Create and maintain documentation for GCP infrastructure and deployments
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues and performance bottlenecks on the GCP platform
• Follow cloud standards, best practices, and reference guides

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with Google Cloud Platform (compute, storage, networking, security)
• Hands-on experience designing and implementing cloud infrastructure using GCP, Terraform, and GKE
• DevOps proficiency with GitHub Actions, CI/CD, and Shell scripting
• Knowledge of Anthos Service Mesh / Istio, networking and firewall rules, and Helm charts
• Familiarity with GCP Monitoring and Logging
• Strong problem-solving and timely troubleshooting of complex issues
• English B2+ for collaboration with global teams
