Description

Join an agile team to build highly resilient, scalable, and performant GCP infrastructure using automation and efficient processes. Work with Application DevOps and cross-functional IT teams to enable application deployments through a managed GCP foundation platform. Investigate and adopt new GCP products/services while maintaining security and operational compliance.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage the GCP foundation platform to enable application deployments.
• Engineer solutions on the GCP foundation platform using Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform).
• Integrate, configure, deploy, and manage centrally provided common cloud services (IAM, networking, logging, operating systems, containers).
• Ensure compliance with centrally defined security requirements.
• Ensure compliance with operational risk standards (network, firewall, OS, logging, monitoring, availability, resiliency).
• Update support and operational documentation as required.
• Ensure good change management practice per central standards.
• Provide rotational out-of-business-hours support as part of 24 x 7 coverage.

Requirements

• Experience building a range of services in a cloud service provider (ideally GCP).
• Expert understanding of DevOps principles and Infrastructure as Code concepts and techniques.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD and available tools.
• Strong understanding of SDN within a CSP (VPCs, XPN, etc.).
• Security and compliance experience (e.g., IAM such as ADFS and OAuth) plus cloud compliance/auditing/monitoring tools.
• Ability to build strong relationships with application teams and cross-functional IT groups.
• Excellent skills in at least one of: Python, Ruby, Java, JavaScript, Go, Groovy, Scala.
• Demonstrated continuous improvement mindset and strong understanding of change implementation mechanisms.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills; ability to communicate complex information clearly to varied audiences.
