Description

Design and deliver end-to-end SAP solutions across SAP S/4HANA and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP). You will analyze functional and non-functional requirements, support pre-sales with technical architecture proposals, and lead solution design, development, and deployment for new capabilities and services.

Responsibilities

• Conduct cost-benefit analyses to align technology solutions with business objectives
• Gather, document, and analyze functional and non-functional requirements (including quality attributes and constraints)
• Support pre-sales as a technical architect, presenting and advocating solution proposals
• Design, develop, and deploy new capabilities and service offerings within SAP BTP, SAP S/4HANA, and SAP SaaS
• Solve complex technical challenges and apply industry best practices within application development
• Provide hands-on programming for front-end and back-end development as needed
• Assess impact of system modifications and enhancements, identify integration points, and ensure cohesive end-to-end designs
• Advise on SAP methodologies (SAP CIO Guides for On-premises/Cloud/Hybrid, ISA-M, Application Extension Methodology, RISE/GROW with SAP, SAP Data and Analytics Advisory Methodology)
• Estimate work efforts for SAP development, Basis, DevOps, and technical architecture components
• Create solution architecture documentation and detailed technical artifacts

Requirements

• Strong understanding of multiple SAP portfolio categories (ERP/Finance, CRM/Customer Experience, Spend Management, Supply Chain Management, HR/People Engagement)
• Familiarity with SAP BTP and at least one environment: Cloud Foundry, Kyma/Kubernetes, or ABAP PaaS
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD pipelines for cloud and on-prem deployments
• Knowledge of IT architecture best practices (TOGAF, ITABoK, BTABoK, DMBoK)
• Familiarity with SAP methodologies including SAP Activate, RISE/GROW with SAP, and ISA-M
• Proficiency in SAP S/4HANA and SaaS extensibility (In-App, On-Stack, Side-by-Side)
• Understanding of end-to-end business processes (e.g., Idea to Market, Source to Pay, Lead to Cash)
• Familiarity with architectural styles (Monolith, Microservices, Event-Driven, Layered)
• Knowledge of performance, scaling, integration, fault tolerance, and security architectural patterns
• Experience with SAP Technical Architecture Modeling (TAM) and BTP architecture
• Familiarity with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Proficiency in programming languages (ABAP, SQL, Java, JavaScript, Groovy, XSLT)
• Experience with SAP CAP, ABAP RAP, Fiori, and BOPF
• Familiarity with SAP BTP services (HANA Cloud, Build Process Automation, Integration Suite)
• Expertise designing and developing Web Services (REST, SOAP, WebAPI)
• Proficiency in OData (v2/v4) and service definitions
