Description

You will help build and secure a cloud-based platform for running AI workloads for industry and research. The role covers security architecture across compute workflows, integration of cloud/AI security measures, and DevSecOps automation for secure MLOps. You will also support compliance governance and certification aligned with ISO 27001 and TISAX, including development of a secure data transfer interface.

Responsibilities

  • Security architecture: evaluate and implement technical measures to ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability of user data across the full workflow

  • Cloud & AI security: integrate and validate technologies for secure inference platforms and Confidential Computing solutions

  • DevSecOps & Automation: develop DevSecOps strategies to continuously improve security in production environments; create secure automated procedures for MLOps

  • Compliance governance: support certification of the new infrastructure in line with ISO 27001 and TISAX

  • Develop an interface for secure data transmission

  • Coordinate closely with the compute operations department, research groups, and industrial partners; exchange with national and international stakeholders on IT security best practices

Requirements

  • Completed academic degree (M.Sc./Diploma) in Computer Science, IT Security, Computational Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or a comparable field

  • Solid IT security knowledge, especially network security, access control, and encryption

  • Practical experience with operating concepts and operating models of high- or supercomputers and/or cloud environments

  • Willingness to independently research new topics in operations models and operating concepts

  • Very good German required or strong willingness to learn quickly; fluent English required

  • Very good knowledge of Linux and networking

  • Experience with principles of security certification

  • Experience with secure cloud or HPC architectures, ideally OpenStack, Kubernetes, or similar platforms

  • Proactive working style and enjoyment of interdisciplinary collaboration

  • Willingness to continuously pursue scientific further education
