Description

You will design and implement new features in the game’s core technologies for an early-stage cross-platform Strategy/MMO. You’ll collaborate with stakeholders to propose the best technical solutions, improve workflows and tooling, and ensure code quality through reviews, pair programming, and QA partnerships. The role focuses on clean, efficient, optimized code and acting as a quality gate for core technology changes.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement new features in core technologies with stakeholder alignment

• Improve development processes, workflows, and tools to boost efficiency, quality, and throughput

• Participate in pair programming, code reviews, 1-1s, and knowledge-sharing

• Work with QA to resolve bugs and deliver high-quality code for testing

• Serve as a quality gate for all code entering core technologies

• Write clean, efficient, optimized code

• Partner with stakeholders to identify and implement technical solutions

Requirements

• 5+ years as part of a professional development team doing Unity gameplay development

• Familiarity with Agile and Scrum

• Experience working with multiple stakeholders to deliver and evaluate technical solutions

• Strong technical skills in at least one: game engines, rendering, networking, physics, AI, or audio

• Excellent C# programming skills

• Experience with version control, build tools, and deployment pipelines

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Strong communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams

• Knowledge of software engineering best practices and trends
