Description

Build, develop, test, and deploy software infrastructure and features across multiple codebases to integrate with external card networks and payment processors using industry-standard protocols. Modify and improve existing software, create testing/validation procedures, and implement unit, functional, and integration tests to prevent regressions. Collaborate with engineering peers on build system and integration architecture decisions while assessing feasibility against time and cost constraints.

Responsibilities

• Build, develop, test, and deploy software infrastructure
• Modify software to fix errors or improve performance
• Develop and direct system testing and validation procedures and documentation
• Build, test, and maintain software for card payments integrations across codebases
• Implement unit, functional, and integration tests
• Analyze user and software requirements for design feasibility within constraints
• Work cross-functionally to build new features at scale
• Provide guidance on build system choices and integration architecture
• Plan and prioritize engineering team work (short and medium term)

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or foreign equivalent) plus 2+ years of software development experience
• 2+ years writing and debugging code
• 2+ years writing software to issue and serve HTTP requests
• 2+ years with Java, Ruby, Scala, or Python
• 2+ years with APIs/REST/SOAP and Agile/Jira/Git plus AngularJS or NodeJS
• 1+ year payment processing experience in payins/acquiring authorization and clearing flows with Visa and Mastercard
• 1+ year data modeling of card features in acquiring payments
• 1+ year experience working with ISO 8583 messages and data warehouse queries
• 1+ year cloud experience
