Description

You will run and manage multiple complex IT infrastructure and operations projects with a budget of approximately £1m–£2m, ensuring on-time delivery, business & technical compliance, and budget adherence. You will create project charters, coordinate resources (including third parties), drive delivery and smooth transition into production, and manage risks, milestones, and transparent reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver multiple complex projects using formal project management techniques
  • Create project charters (scope, budget, resources, schedule, approach, sequencing)
  • Ensure delivery consistency, efficiency, and compliance with IT internal requirements
  • Manage vendor relationships and optimize internal vs. external resource usage
  • Serve as key point of contact for stakeholders
  • Identify risks/issues, analyze options, manage impacts, and mitigate delays
  • Monitor and report progress against milestones and budgets to Management and Executive Leadership
  • Track and manage all project costs (actuals), including SOWs/Purchase Orders, contracts, internal resource assignments; maintain accurate forecasts and accruals in SAP and Clarityco
  • Coordinate project documentation, plans, change requests, approvals, lifecycle steps, and compliance gate requests

Requirements

  • Fluent English
  • 5+ years of experience successfully managing delivery of IT infrastructure, workplace, or application projects in a technically complex and dynamic environment (ideally global Finance/Insurance or regulated industry)
  • Strong management skills across project, financial, and change management, plus facilitation
  • Ability to lead and direct projects under a unified project lens without compromising business outcomes
  • Excellent communication skills and experience managing diverging stakeholder interests
  • Ability to create meaningful reports and summarize project health for stakeholder presentations
  • Ability to manage and track project costs and budgets to agreed baselines
  • Ability to drive functional and geographic workstreams and coordinate step-change delivery
  • Consulting and collaborative style with accountability and knowledge-sharing
  • Willingness to develop less experienced PMs and help build high-performing teams
  • Willingness to travel internationally
