Description

As a Solution Architect for the IB CTO Architecture team, you will shape and support the architectural direction of the Investment Bank by aligning architectural standards and governance with divisional and group strategies. You will collaborate with governance stakeholders and broader IB streams, serving as a key point of contact for the Group CTO (GCTO). Responsibilities include leading architectural governance processes, assessing and prioritizing architecture requests, and working with engineering teams early from ideation through delivery.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and communicate architectural standards, guardrails, reference architectures, and best practices aligned to IB and GCTO strategies

• Lead and manage key architectural governance processes within the IB CTO function with proactive oversight across the division

• Serve as the primary GCTO point of contact for the Investment Bank; represent IB CTO in group initiatives and ensure clear communication

• Assess and prioritize incoming requests from IB and GCTO; coordinate operational and data-gathering tasks to enable the core architecture team to focus on strategic work

• Partner with IB engineering teams early to ensure architectural considerations are addressed from ideation through delivery

Requirements

• Extensive experience in enterprise or solution architecture across business, application, data, and technology domains

• Proven ability to operate in a governance-driven, multi-stakeholder environment with transparency and process adherence

• Ability to interpret, communicate, and apply group-level architectural strategies within divisional contexts

• Demonstrated ability to work independently with clarity and structure in ambiguous situations

• Excellent communication and influencing skills across technology and business stakeholders

• Ability to work autonomously to set direction and collaboratively as part of a team

• Strong quality focus and quick learning

• Willingness to challenge the status quo and propose innovative solutions
