Solution Architect

Purpose of the Job

As a Solution Architect, you will be responsible for designing, governing, and evolving end-to-end technology solutions within Contract Logistics IT. You will work closely with stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable, secure, and cost-effective IT solutions aligned with corporate standards. This role is essential for enabling business transformation, application modernization, cloud adoption, and system integration.

Main Responsibilities

Key duties include:

  • Design end-to-end solution architectures across applications, integrations, data, and infrastructure.
  • Translate business requirements into architectural designs and technical specifications.
  • Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture principles and IT standards.
  • Drive loosely coupled and reuse-oriented architectural approaches.
  • Deliver Solution Design Documents (SDDs) compliant with IT standards.
  • Partner with business units and IT teams to shape solution outcomes.
  • Act as a trusted advisor on technology choices.
  • Create and coordinate approval of solution designs through governance forums.
  • Provide architectural guidance during development and deployment phases.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies relevant to logistics.

Key Requirements

Candidates must have the following qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in IT, including 3+ years as a Solution Architect or similar role.
  • Proven experience designing solutions in large, complex, global enterprises.
  • Experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain industries.
  • Practical knowledge of warehouse management or contract logistics.
  • Strong understanding of TOGAF and application architecture.
  • Experience with integration technologies and cloud platforms, including Google Cloud, Azure, or AWS.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Nice to Have

Desirable skills include:

  • Experience with architectural modeling and warehouse management systems.
  • Knowledge of software vendor evaluation and integration development.

Working Arrangement

  • Onsite work a minimum of 4 days per week; remaining time remote.
