Description

The Business Analyst – Freight Payments supports daily freight pay and operations by ensuring accurate data capture and system entry. You will be the primary contact for managing external third-party freight audit and payment providers and act as an escalation point for carriers’ payment and invoicing issues above the third-party provider. You will also help implement and test new account start-ups, support teams at customer sites, and drive internal and customer process improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate data capture and system entry
  • Resolve internal, customer service, and vendor issues using data and problem-solving
  • Manage external third-party freight audit and payment partners
  • Escalate carrier invoicing issues and freight payment data needs internally
  • Perform project work and coordinate with relevant parties
  • Support account start-up implementation and testing
  • Document, maintain, and update department SOPs
  • Meet or exceed team KPIs for Freight Pay and Operations
  • Present data and findings to customers and carriers

Requirements

  • College degree in Logistics/Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3 years of experience in logistics, customer service, freight payments, or related field
  • English fluency (reading, writing, verbal)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to apply mathematics and analysis
  • Knowledge of pricing components for various modes of transport
  • Strong project management; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
  • Ability to travel up to 15% domestic and international
