Description

You will plan and lead development projects in microoptics with a focus on holography and interference lithography. The role includes designing exposure concepts for holographic diffraction gratings, supporting the full manufacturing process chain toward series production, and developing replication strategies. You will also create new metrology and analysis tools and apply your expertise in an interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

  • Technical planning and project leadership for microoptics development projects (holography / interference lithography)
  • Conceive exposure approaches for holographic diffraction gratings
  • Support the complete manufacturing process chain toward series production and design replication strategies
  • Independently develop new measurement (metrology) techniques and analysis tools
  • Occasional participation in domestic and international customer visits and support sales with quotation preparation

Requirements

  • Completed degree in Physics or an engineering discipline with a focus on optics
  • Practical experience with microstructuring in a cleanroom environment (ideally in microoptics)
  • Proven experience as a project leader for R&D development projects in research and industry
  • Expert knowledge of the entire microstructuring process chain
  • Strong knowledge of microoptics: optical design, simulation, physical/technical optics, diffraction theory, and holography
  • Strong software skills in Python, MATLAB and/or C# (Zemax proficiency is advantageous)
  • Good German and English communication skills (written and spoken)
