• Role: SAP Basis Administrator (m/w/d)

Description

You will ensure smooth operation of an SAP system landscape, including ERP, SRM, EWM, PO, GTS, Fiori, and HCM, as well as optimal functioning of SAP Solution Manager. You will monitor SAP availability, continuously optimize system performance, and manage lifecycle activities such as planning, implementing, and overseeing patches and upgrades. You will also install new SAP systems, handle transport of modifications, operate the OS environment (NIS, DNS, SMB, NFS, LDAP), and take ownership of incident management.

Responsibilities

• Operate and ensure reliable day-to-day functioning of SAP systems (ERP, SRM, EWM, PO, GTS, Fiori, HCM)
• Maintain SAP Solution Manager
• Ensure SAP availability and continuously optimize performance
• Plan, implement, and monitor patches and upgrades (lifecycle management)
• Install new SAP systems and transport modifications
• Administer OS infrastructure/services: NIS, DNS, SMB, NFS, LDAP
• Own incident management

Requirements

• Completed IT training or degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• Strong knowledge and practical experience in virtualization
• Experience with storage systems, ideally NetApp
• Good knowledge of Linux (SLES)
• Basic knowledge of databases such as DB2, Oracle, and HANA (preferred)
• Independent and structured working style; strong problem-solving ability
• Team-oriented, communicative, and customer-focused
• Very good German and good English
