Description

Seeking a detail-oriented automation engineer with strong problem-solving skills and a solid software testing foundation. The role emphasizes delivering high-quality, well-engineered solutions, collaborating across product, architecture, analysis, and development, and improving QA automation approaches including research into AI-based testing.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the scrum master, product owner, architect, business analysts, product specialists, developers, and other team members to execute software quality responsibilities.
  • Create comprehensive test automation scripts from business requirements and functional specification documents.
  • Execute manual and automated functional, integration, regression, and performance tests.
  • Maintain automated and manual test script libraries for functional, integration, regression, and performance testing.
  • Follow Software Development Life Cycle practices and comply with Information Security and Data Governance practices.
  • Interpret automation test results, document defects in an issue tracking system, and proactively communicate issues.
  • Lead testing improvements by identifying opportunities to enhance QA methodology and recommending new automation approaches (including AI).
  • Adhere to the testing schedule to ensure effective and efficient product delivery.
  • Participate in agile development ceremonies per CRD Scrum methodology (daily standups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, retrospectives).
  • Join group testing activities as needed.

Requirements

  • B.S. degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, and Physics (or other technical study) OR Business with an MIS background; MS strongly preferred.
  • 4-7 years of software testing experience in a process-driven technology environment.
  • Programming experience with Java, C#, SQL, and shell scripting (PowerShell, Bash).
  • Automated testing experience for REST APIs and Web UI.
  • Experience testing cloud-based, distributed systems.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical testing solutions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication; detail-oriented.
  • Understanding of development technologies: C#, HTML5, JavaScript, REST, AngularJS, Python.
  • Experience with Micro Services and web services testing using SOAP and REST, plus XML/JSON.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and GitHub.
  • Hands-on development and maintenance of automated test suites.
  • Exposure to testing tools such as Selenium Webdriver, Gradle, Jenkins, REST Assured.
  • Familiarity with TeamCity, Git, Confluence, JIRA, Docker, ELK stack, Dynatrace.
  • Database testing experience (Oracle, SQL/NoSQL).
  • Knowledge of one or more CRD functional areas strongly desired.
  • Minimum 3 years with Agile development methodology strongly desired.
