Description

The Global Safety & Environment Intern provides environmental, health, and safety (EHS) compliance and technical support to local site business partners related to compliance programs, including General Occupational Safety, High-Risk Work, Industrial Hygiene, and Air/Water/Waste Environmental programs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide EHS compliance and technical support to local site business partners
  • Support compliance programs across occupational safety, high-risk work, industrial hygiene, and air/water/waste environmental areas

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Biology, or another technical program
  • Completed at least 2 years of college course work
  • Able to work full time for a period of 10–12 weeks
  • Critical thinking, communication, problem-solving, and computer skills
  • Ability to receive verbal or written direction and implement corresponding changes
  • Ability to think critically about process inefficiencies and propose solutions
  • Ability to work in a small team

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Prior internship or work experience in Environmental, Health, and Safety or in chemical manufacturing
  • Ability to convey ideas and explain decisions clearly and concisely
