Description

Join the development team and work across the core of the platform with the technical lead and founder. Your work spans procurement workflows, load execution, integrations, and reporting—so it reaches customers quickly.

What you will work on

  • Procurement workflows: how shippers run tenders and live bidding with carriers, and how bids are judged on more than price
  • Load execution: bookings, carrier updates, dock scheduling, and daily freight flow
  • Integrations with customers’ ERP systems (SAP, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Oracle) and with carrier systems
  • Reporting and analytics used by customers to run logistics
  • Performance, security, and reliability as the product grows

Requirements

  • 3+ years building and running production Rails applications
  • Good PostgreSQL and data modelling skills
  • Experience building APIs and integrating with third party systems
  • Comfortable across back end and front end, taking a feature from the database to the screen
  • Comfortable owning a problem from start to finish with minimal supervision
  • Good written and spoken English

Nice to have

  • Logistics or supply chain products
  • ERP integrations
  • Heroku or AWS
  • Experience at an early stage product company

Our stack

  • Product company (one product, real customers, real input)

How we hire

  • No test task; prefer discussion of real code
  • 30 minute call with the technical lead
  • 90 minute technical conversation walking through part of the codebase and how you’d approach real problems
  • 30 minute conversation with the founder
  • References and an offer
  • The first month is a paid trial on real work, so both sides can be sure
