Description

You will lead and manage global payments core payment processing platforms in Europe, providing technology strategy, architecture, security & compliance, and end-to-end software engineering delivery. You will also own a multiyear, large-scale migration program to move business-critical traffic from legacy systems to go-forward platforms across Europe, while continuing agile working and retraining/supporting existing team members across both sites. The role requires direct business-facing engagement with joint ventures and senior technology/product/business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a technology organisation of approximately 250 software professionals across Warsaw and Prague.
• Retain, motivate, and develop highly skilled teams; continuously adopt change to maintain a high-performing team.
• Define technology strategy for European core payment processing platforms and ensure alignment to business priorities.
• Partner with Product to build a stable and predictable roadmap with quality, pace, throughput, and delivery model.
• Partner strategically with other technology leadership functions (Operations, Security, Engineering, etc.) to deliver commitments.
• Own a multi-year migration programme moving business-critical traffic from legacy systems to go-forward platforms.
• Act as the Senior Technology Partner and single point of contact for core payment processing in Europe.
• Work with local joint ventures, senior business leaders, and global technology stakeholders to include commercial, legal, and financial targets in the technology strategy.

Requirements

• 20+ years’ experience in technology change management, including business and commercial considerations.
• 5+ years experience managing large software organizations.
• Proven experience scaling large engineering teams across multiple locations and supporting business units in a global environment.
• Demonstrated experience leading large-scale, high-availability, low-latency technology platforms, ideally within payments or another highly regulated environment.
• Experience leading live, real-time platform migrations and complex transformation programmes involving senior stakeholders.
• Strong ability to translate business vision into deliverable software components.
• Build strong engineering culture and partner effectively with senior technology and business leaders.
