Senior Software Engineer

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will contribute to a product that helps shipowners and fleet operators manage data effectively, improve operational safety, and achieve their decarbonisation and CO₂-emission reduction goals.

This role offers the opportunity to influence the product’s direction—from architectural decisions and business logic to scalable features used by clients across the maritime sector. You will work in an international environment with technology and domain experts, contributing to a platform that combines data, applications, and digital services for more efficient and sustainable maritime operations.

Key responsibilities

• Extend and develop a custom C# framework for workflow migration
• Build and maintain frontend components
• Write technical documentation
• Extend the automated testing framework
• Support pilot deployments and resolve issues responsively
• Collaborate with stakeholders to validate solutions against business requirements
• Balance evolving pilot priorities with ongoing development work

Ideal candidate profile

• Strong proficiency in .NET 8.0 and C# for building scalable microservices and extending custom frameworks
• Frontend development experience with React.js and/or StencilJS (Web Components)
• Experience with event-driven architectures, including Kafka and MassTransit
• Hands-on experience with Entity Framework Core and databases: PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and SQL Server
• Experience with container orchestration using Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm Charts
• Experience with RESTful APIs using ASP.NET Core and the OpenAPI standard
• Experience with observability and monitoring using OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, and Grafana
• Strong communication skills for technical documentation and customer interaction
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and CI/CD workflows using Azure DevOps and GitHub
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools, including Microsoft Copilot

Conditions

• B2B cooperation; the contract will be signed with KUBO
• Minimum 12-month engagement
• 100% remote work, with 2–4 business trips per year to the office in Gdynia or Norway
• Salary up to 230 PLN/h
