Senior Data Discovery and Security Analyst – Cybersecurity & Data Privacy

Kraków-based opportunity with a hybrid work model.

As a Senior Data Discovery and Security Analyst, you will support cybersecurity and data privacy initiatives. You will enhance data security and privacy measures through data discovery activities, tool configuration, and compliance with industry standards, helping protect critical information and enable secure data management.

Your main responsibilities

• Lead structured and unstructured data discovery activities, ensuring comprehensive coverage and accuracy.
• Assist in establishing and configuring Data Discovery tools, including running scans and analyzing results.
• Perform daily BAU activities to maintain the health of data security servers and systems.
• Support service owners with health checks and necessary process tasks to ensure optimal system performance.
• Collaborate on setting up and integrating data discovery and security strategies within organizational frameworks.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in cyber or IT operational management.
• Strong expertise with Symantec/Broadcom Data Discovery, Veritas Data Insight, or similar products.
• Proven ability to build, deploy, and utilize tooling supporting data security and data integration.
• Excellent knowledge of cybersecurity standards, including EU data privacy acts, CIS, and NIST frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with data discovery and security solutions.
• Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills and the drive to find effective solutions.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience working within a financial organization.
• Relevant certifications in cybersecurity or related fields.

Language required for the role

• Communicative English proficiency.
