Description

Perform the role of Middleware Engineer for an application migration project within a data center migration program. The applications support payment card acceptance/acquiring and issuer-processor business processes, including critical transaction authorization functions implemented in a three-tier application architecture.

The Middleware layer is extensive and requires additional support as part of the service migration project.

  • Rundeck or Ansible

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the FTS Application & Middleware Team on BAU tasks.
  • Work closely with Project Managers to drive actions for building, testing and migrating to new environments.
  • Prepare and submit infrastructure build, configuration and access requests; address project blockers.
  • Diagnose and solve technical problems.
  • Monitor environments for performance and reliability.
  • Produce high-quality, live documentation using Confluence.

Candidate Profile

  • Recognize challenges involved in migrating applications between data centers.
  • Have experience in similar application-migration roles or projects.
  • Possess excellent written and spoken Polish and English, and collaborate with SMEs across several countries to communicate technical scope, challenges and solutions.
  • Understand availability, performance, monitoring and resilience for semi-real-time online transaction systems and mass transaction-processing systems.
  • Understand infrastructure aspects, network solutions, load balancing and TLS.
  • Take responsibility for product quality and for making and keeping commitments.
  • Share knowledge and experience, find compromises, and build effective relationships within the local organization and wider corporation.
