Description

Perform the AppOps role for an application migration project within a data center migration program. The applications support payment card acceptance/acquiring and issuer processor business processes, including critical transaction authorization functions delivered by locally developed and external-vendor systems.

Responsibilities

  • Administer, configure and maintain payment card issuing and acquiring transaction applications.
  • Monitor application environments to ensure correct operation, performance and reliability.
  • Maintain application server continuity by resolving incidents and problems affecting the environments.
  • Verify and implement changes delivered to production systems.
  • Participate in local and international project work.
  • Cooperate with external technical support and technical groups across the international organization.
  • Work closely with the FTS Application & Middleware Team on BAU activities.
  • Work with project managers to drive actions for building, testing and migrating to new environments, including infrastructure build, configuration and access requests, and removal of blockers.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical problems.
  • Produce high-quality live documentation using Confluence.

Technical Qualifications

  • Efficient use of PL/SQL and T-SQL.
  • Efficient use of Perl, PowerShell, Shell, Bash and Python.

Expected Experience and Capabilities

  • Recognize challenges associated with migrating applications between data centers.
  • Experience in similar application migration roles or projects.
  • Strong written and spoken Polish and English, with the ability to work with SMEs from several countries and communicate technical scope, challenges and solutions.
  • Understanding of availability, performance, monitoring and resilience for semi-real-time online transaction systems and mass transaction processing systems.
  • Understanding of infrastructure aspects, network solutions, load balancing and TLS.
  • Commitment to product quality and delivery commitments.
  • Ability to share knowledge, find compromises and build effective relationships within local and corporate teams.
