OMS/TMS Solution Architect

We are looking for an experienced OMS/TMS Solution Architect to join the discovery phase of a strategic supply chain transformation programme for a global FMCG client.

The programme focuses on integrating and consolidating the Order-to-Cash processes and system landscapes of two organizations. During the initial discovery phase, the team will define the target direction for Order Management and Transportation Management, assess the current solutions and prepare a roadmap for the wider transformation.

Description

You will be responsible for defining the strategic direction and target architecture for the client’s Order Management System and Transportation Management System landscape.

Responsibilities

• Analyse the existing OMS and TMS landscapes across both organizations.
• Assess opportunities to consolidate order capture, order management and transportation processes.
• Define the target role of OMS within the end-to-end Order-to-Cash process.
• Design the target approach to transportation planning, execution and visibility.
• Define the integration of OMS and TMS with SAP ERP/S/4HANA, external WMS solutions, carriers and 3PL partners.
• Evaluate solution options and prepare architecture recommendations.
• Identify functional gaps, dependencies, risks and key design decisions.
• Support discovery workshops with business and technology stakeholders.
• Contribute to the programme roadmap, critical path and implementation approach.
• Work closely with the SCO/SCI Solution Architect and Integration Architect.

What We Are Looking For

• Senior Solution Architect with strong practical experience in OMS and/or TMS.
• Good understanding of order capture, order orchestration, fulfilment and transportation management.
• Experience integrating OMS or TMS platforms with SAP ERP/S/4HANA and external WMS solutions.
• Knowledge of transportation planning, execution, carrier collaboration, shipment visibility and freight settlement.
• Experience working with carriers, logistics service providers or 3PL partners.
• Ability to assess different solution options and provide product-independent recommendations.
• Experience leading discovery sessions and architecture workshops.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Fluent English.

Nice to Have

• Experience with SAP TM, Manhattan, IBM Sterling OMS, Blue Yonder, Fluent Commerce, Oracle OTM or similar solutions.
• Experience with SAP BTP/Integration Suite, APIs, EDI or event-driven integrations.
• Background in FMCG, consumer goods, retail, manufacturing or distribution.
• Experience in system consolidation following a merger or acquisition.
• Experience working within global SAP transformation programmes.

Knowledge of one specific OMS or TMS product is not mandatory. The role requires strong architectural thinking, broad market knowledge and the ability to recommend the right target solution for a complex international organization.
