Data Analyst (Digital Commerce)

Responsibilities

As a Data Analyst focusing on Digital Commerce, you will empower the Digital Business Department to make impactful, data-driven decisions by transforming complex web analytics and commercial data into valuable insights. Your focus will be on providing analysis on the performance of the marketplace business model and OBI's own retail, as well as the interdependencies between both value streams. You will also implement modern AI tools directly within the Databricks platform and Looker.

Your key responsibilities include:

• Analyze digital commerce performance across marketplace and retail models, identifying trends, interdependencies, and growth opportunities.
• Design and implement standardized KPIs and performance metrics to support business decision-making.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines and analytical workflows using SQL, Python, and Databricks.
• Build and enable self-service analytics solutions, including dashboards and reporting tools in Looker.
• Implement and scale AI-driven analytics use cases such as conversational analytics within the data platform.
• Conduct ad-hoc analyses and complex analytical projects combining tracking data with additional data sources.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Digital Business, Marketing, Product, and Category Management to translate data into actionable insights.

Qualifications

• Completed degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Business Informatics, Statistics, Marketing, or a comparable discipline.
• Several years of professional experience in digital analytics, preferably in e-commerce or digital business environments.
• Strong knowledge of web analytics tools such as Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, or Webtrekk, and an understanding of tracking methodologies.
• Excellent SQL and/or Python skills, ideally with raw tracking or large-scale analytical datasets.
• Experience with BI and data platforms such as Databricks and Looker.
• Strong English and Polish communication skills, including the ability to explain complex insights to non-technical stakeholders.
• Openness to hybrid work and visits to the Katowice office.

Nice to Have

• Experience with AI-driven analytics tools or conversational analytics solutions.
• Familiarity with large-scale e-commerce or marketplace business models.
• Experience building scalable data products or self-service analytics platforms.
