Senior Unix/Linux Administrator

Hybrid work: 2–3 days per week from the office

Rate: up to 110 PLN/h

About the Role

Support server operations for a client in the banking industry, collaborating with the Server Engineering team and global support units to improve operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Reduce major incidents, optimize resources, and improve IT operations across the server infrastructure.
• Design, build, and maintain automation using Ansible and Terraform to optimize GCP cloud spend and safeguard compliance.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot Red Hat/Unix issues, restore services quickly, and ensure configuration integrity across hybrid-cloud environments.
• Plan and control IT operations in line with cybersecurity policies, including patching, hardening, and monitoring.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience managing several hundred Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Unix servers in enterprise environments.
• Strong understanding of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) technologies and practical experience with Red Hat Satellite.
• Proven ability to build and implement infrastructure automation with Ansible and Terraform.
• Familiarity with modern monitoring tools, JIRA, Confluence, and ServiceNow or Remedy.
• Spoken and written English at B2 level or higher.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of Solaris, AIX, IBMi, Veritas Cluster Administration, and VMware support.
• Previous experience in a financial institution or highly regulated environment.
