Jira Administrator

We are looking for a Jira Administrator to join a project for a large international client from the fintech / banking sector. The client develops and maintains technology solutions for the financial industry, with IT teams working in an international environment.

We are looking for someone who knows the Atlassian ecosystem well and can not only administer Jira, but also look at existing processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement practical solutions. The role is 100% remote.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with Jira
• Good understanding of workflows, custom fields, permissions, and automation
• Knowledge of JQL
• Ability to independently diagnose and resolve issues
• Understanding of user needs and ability to suggest solutions rather than simply implement requested configurations
• Comfortable working with development, QA, and business teams
• English level enabling confident work in an international environment

Nice to Have

• Confluence
• Jira Service Management
• REST API and integrations
• Tools or plugins extending Atlassian capabilities
• Experience with Atlassian Cloud or Data Center
• Basic scripting skills or experience with more advanced automations

You do not need to know everything listed above. What matters most is a strong understanding of Jira, independence, and a solution-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Administering and developing the Jira environment
• Configuring projects, workflows, fields, screens, permissions, and notifications
• Creating and improving automations
• Supporting users and teams in their day-to-day work with Jira
• Analysing requests and resolving issues related to platform configuration
• Gathering team requirements and translating them into practical solutions
• Developing dashboards, filters, and reporting
• Supporting Jira integrations with other tools
• Maintaining a clean, secure, and consistent Jira configuration
• Collaborating with international technical and business teams
