Summary

This role provides technical leadership and guidance to a team of Network Engineers in the Campus WAN area, ensuring operational efficiency and effective handling of major incidents.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the activities of Network Engineers in the Campus WAN area.
• Manage network-service operations, including configuration, administration, and troubleshooting of Cisco ASR/ISR routers using BGP, OSPF, and MPLS.
• Act as Technical Lead for major incidents, with 24/7 on-call availability.
• Oversee Change, Release, Incident, and Problem Management processes.
• Handle Event, Availability, Capacity, Vulnerability, and CMDB Management.
• Participate in network planning, design, architecture, installation, and configuration of components.
• Optimize network performance and ensure quality assurance of configurations.
• Document processes according to guidelines.

Must Haves

• Cisco CCNA or CCNP Enterprise certification, or equivalent.
• Experience with Cisco ASR/ISR routers.
• Strong knowledge of BGP, OSPF, and MPLS protocols.
• Leadership experience, especially with nearshore teams.
• Fluent English.

Nice to Have

• Cisco SD-WAN Specialist certification.
• Knowledge of ITIL practices.
• Fluency in German.
• Experience with Ansible, Python, and CheckMK.
