  • Write, maintain and optimise SQL and Python scripts for ingestion, transformation and validation workflows.
  • Support the pricing team by ensuring timely, accurate and reliable data availability in the Datamart.
  • Support the design and implementation of data pipelines and integrations between the new platform and existing data infrastructure.
  • Contribute to the longer-term strategy for migrating the Underwriting function to a new target data platform.

Key Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills, including translating between technical and business audiences.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with requirements gathering, documentation and UAT coordination.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively under pressure.
  • Experience with cloud-based data services and platforms.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in the insurance or health insurance sector.
  • Experience in Pricing and Underwriting departments.
  • Familiarity with modern data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, AWS, Azure or similar.
  • Project management or change management qualification, such as Prosci or APMG Change Management.
  • Experience with programme/project management methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall or hybrid approaches.
  • Knowledge of data governance frameworks and data quality management.
