Business Central Presales Consultant

We are looking for an experienced Business Central Presales Consultant to support the full pre-sales lifecycle, from discovery and solution design to tailored demonstrations, proposals, and bid responses. You will work closely with Sales and Delivery teams to help customers define the right Business Central solution and successfully win new projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Scenario-based BC demos tailored to a specific prospect's processes and industry, not generic interface walkthroughs
• Discovery and scoping workshops with prospects at the qualification stage
• Gathering and structuring requirements at bid stage; fit-gap at proposal level
• Effort and scope-boundary estimation (rough-order / T-shirt) together with delivery
• The functional part of RFP / RFI / tender responses
• High-level solution architecture: BC plus ISV selection against requirements (HR, leasing, EDI, banking, etc.)
• Supporting BDMs in deal qualification and defending the proposal to the client
• Building and maintaining demo environments and reusable demo assets
• Competitive positioning of BC against SAP B1, NetSuite, Sage and other BC partners
• Articulating the business case / ROI in the client's terms

Must have

• Experience specifically in pre-sales / solution consulting for Business Central: 3+ years in a role where the primary function was pre-sales, not implementation. Candidates with a purely implementation background and no pre-sales track are not a fit.
• A demonstrable track record of demos and involvement in won bids: the candidate can name specific deals, their role and the outcome
• Strong command of BC across the core modules: finance, sales/purchasing, inventory; manufacturing at least at an overview level
• Ability to run discovery and translate a client's business pain into a solution, not a feature list
• English C1+: demos, workshops and bid work for UK/Western clients are conducted in English
• A clear sense of how to move from requirements to scope size and boundaries

Nice to have

• Experience with F&SCM/F&O: honest BC vs F&O positioning is part of the job
• Knowledge of the BC ISV ecosystem (Hubdrive, SOFT4Lessee, EDI connectors, etc.)
• Industry specialisation: manufacturing, distribution, professional services
• Experience responding to formal tenders / public sector
• BC certifications (MB-800 and functional)
