Development Cyber Security Lead

We are looking for a Development Cyber Security Lead to continuously improve the ability to protect products and customers. The role establishes and implements best practices and standards for cybersecurity across product development, ensuring solutions are built, deployed and operated securely. You will work closely with the CISO, development department leaders, architects and IT Operations teams.

What you will be doing to make a difference

  • Roll out, improve and extend binding cybersecurity standards across Development and Operations in close cooperation with Heads of Departments and IT Operations.
  • Define and implement processes, tools and procedures to reach security targets efficiently and economically.
  • Drive and coordinate cybersecurity status assessments across all products, solutions and operations, including third-party and open-source components.
  • Support plans for reaching cybersecurity standards per product and solution, aligned with business needs and current security status.
  • Implement processes to detect and remove new vulnerabilities in a timely manner, and support the emergency plan for critical vulnerability response.
  • Establish regular reporting on cybersecurity status, new vulnerabilities and progress on mitigation and standards adherence.
  • Support development, rollout and follow-up of relevant security training for developers.

What you need to succeed

  • BSc or MSc in Computer Science or an equivalent field with a focus on software development.
  • Education or substantial experience in Cyber Security, ideally with relevant certifications. Project Management certification is a plus.
  • At least 3 years of experience in software development, ideally including 1 year in a team lead role.
  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience in Cyber Security.
  • Experience managing projects across teams or departments.
  • Good understanding of software development practices, including agile methodologies.
  • Experience assessing third-party and open-source components for security risks is an advantage.
  • Structured, self-driven and able to lead laterally across organizational boundaries.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to build buy-in for change and push topics forward when needed.

The position reports to the CISO and cooperates closely with Development department leaders, Application and Enterprise Architects, and IT Operations. The preferred arrangement is to work from an office, though other locations may be considered for the right candidate.
