Senior JD Edwards (E1) Developer

This opportunity is for a dedicated, full-time JD Edwards (E1) Development Team to join an ERP Development Center of Excellence in Porto. The team will contribute to the design, enhancement, and continuous improvement of a large-scale ERP environment within a MedTech organization.

The engagement is for experienced JD Edwards developers and a Functional Team Lead working collaboratively on development, enhancements, and governance of the JD Edwards platform. Delivery must align with best practices and enterprise standards.

Team Structure

• 2 Mid-Level JD Edwards Developers with 4+ years of experience
• 2 Senior JD Edwards Developers with 8+ years of experience
• 1 Functional Team Lead with 10+ years of experience at principal/lead level
• The team must collectively provide functional and technical expertise across JD Edwards domains for end-to-end ERP delivery.

Main Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development and enhancement of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne (E1) applications within a structured ERP development center.
• Design, build, and maintain E1 components, including applications, tables, and views.
• Develop and support changes using FDA (Form Design Aid), RDA (Report Design Aid), NER (Named Event Rules), and BSSV (Business Services).
• Participate in the full E1 development lifecycle while adhering to governance and quality standards.
• Deliver minor enhancements and Requests for Change (RFCs) on the E1 platform.
• Support incident-management processes, ITIL-aligned workflows, and KPI tracking.
• Collaborate with functional analysts and business stakeholders to refine requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement of existing ERP solutions and technical architecture.
• Take ownership of technical solutions and contribute to solution design and optimization.

Technical Skills & Experience

• Strong experience with the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne development lifecycle.
• Solid understanding of E1 applications and architecture.
• Hands-on experience with FDA, RDA, NER, BSSV, and table and view design.
• Experience in at least two JD Edwards functional domains: Finance, Distribution, Manufacturing, or Sales.
• The team must collectively cover all four functional modules: Finance, Distribution, Manufacturing, and Sales.

Programming & Tools

• Strong proficiency in C programming.
• Strong experience with Orchestration Studio.
• Deep expertise in Groovy and other scripting languages.
• Experience with automation, integrations, and ERP extensions is highly valued.

Scope of Work

• Primarily focused on Requests for Change (RFCs) and minor enhancements.
• Ongoing maintenance and development of the JD Edwards E1 platform.
• Contribution to ERP optimization and continuous-improvement initiatives.

Working Conditions

• Full-time engagement under a Time & Material model.
• Mandatory onsite presence in Porto: 4 days onsite and 1 day remote.
• Daily time registration on RFC tasks.
